OneCommunity Alliance (OCA) Is committed to eliminating the racial, cultural, employment, housing, educational, and health gaps within the Central Minnesota region, with the ultimate goal of building an inclusive and equitable regional economy for all.

Hudda Ibrahim
Executive Director

Hudda has extensive expertise in training, teaching, and curriculum development. She has delivered workshops and customized training to company executives, HR departments/staff leadership teams, and supervisors.

Hudda graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, majoring in Conflict Resolution and English Literature. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, and an H.R. degree with an emphasis on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University in New York. Currently, Hudda is pursuing a Doctor of Education and Leadership degree at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Hudda is the author of “From Somalia to Snow” and several children’s books. Hudda is a certified trainer through Franklin Covey. She specializes in the areas of diversity and inclusion, cultural competency, and unconscious bias. Hudda is a recipient of the prestigious Bush Foundation Fellowship (2019) and the Greater Minnesota Initiative Foundation’s Initiative Fellow (2017).

Abdi Mahad
Community Engagement Director

Abdi holds a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from St. Cloud State University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

He has devoted his professional life to the relentless pursuits of equity and excellence in education for children and youth, and designed the first Somali language curriculum available in the United States. Abdi also customizes curriculum, and provides instructional design and evaluation experiences for diverse learners and cultures.

Abdi has provided training sessions and translated employee handbooks, orientation materials, and “good manufacturing practices into the Somali language.” He also offers on-the-job American work ethics training for immigrant and refugee employees.

Rachel M. Anderson
Communications Director

Rachel has more than 30 years of communications experience across a wide range of disciplines. In addition to her work as OneCommunity Alliance’s Communications Director, she is also a marketing & PR consultant and publicist. Plus, she has extensive media experience in both the print and broadcast journalism arenas. Before switching to a career in marketing and PR, she worked as a major market television newscast producer and reporter for 15 years. She is a graduate of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where she double majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.

Nat Kirk
Human Resources Director

Nat Kirk (they/them) is a DEIB Consultant with several years of experience guiding organizations of all sizes on their DEIB journey. Nat combines DEIB practices with trauma-informed principles to implement the Protective Cycle of Whole Community framework, connecting employers to their community for the betterment of both. Nat obtained their undergraduate degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati and law degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Law. They reside in Minneapolis with their partner Jordan and two dogs, Merry and Pippin.
