In 2022, our Building Equity Through Dialogue initiative, in partnership with the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, convened throughout the year to assess what challenges, strengths, and opportunities for improvement exist in the St. Cloud area for underrepresented populations in the areas of Housing, Economy & Employment, Health and Wellness, Education, and Community Engagement. The project continued in 2023 with a new name, “Building Equity Through Action.”
5 Key Areas We Are Invested In
- Increasing Affordable and Attainable Housing in Central Minnesota through Public and Private Partnerships.
- Developing and Designing a DEIB Employer Tool Kit.
- Growing a Teachers of Color Program through Public and Private Partnerships with the Public and Private Sector, including the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University.
- Partnering with County Health Institutions to End Social Isolation and Increase Access to Preventative Care.
- Leading Local Convenings to Advocate for and Influence Policy Change.

Building Equity Through Action’s monthly meetings are held in person at Resource Training & Solutions, which is located at 137 23rd Street South, Sartell, MN 56377.
