Closing the Housing Gap
We believe everyone should have a place to call home. As a part of our mission, we strive to make this a reality by ensuring access to safe, affordable, and stable housing. This is an initiative that requires a diverse approach— and our team at OneCommunity Alliance is committed to addressing this challenge in a variety of ways. From the development of affordable housing to providing comprehensive housing counseling, and advocating for policy changes to ensure fair housing practices, we strive to create a true and lasting impact for families impacted in our community.
Our Partners
Builders, local bank representatives, and Realtors in our alliance help to lead a more comprehensive and effective approach to addressing housing needs in our community. Each group brings their own set of expertise and resources that work to enhance our efforts.
Our Focus
We strive to provide solutions to housing challenges in our community. By helping families build equity through homeownership, we work to reduce inequalities and increase overall homeownership rates. As a team, we allocate local and state funding for homeownership and in aiding families of color in their search for good and fair financing. We also seek opportunities that help to support down payments for families in need.

Our Key Initiatives Include
Affordable Housing Development
OneCommunity Alliance helps to build and maintain housing for low-income families. Dependent on needs, we offer help in building new housing units, rehabilitating and updating existing properties, and providing financial assistance to help you own an affordable home.
Housing Counseling
We offer advice on buying, renting, and avoiding foreclosure to support your family. We want to provide you with information to better help you navigate the home-buying process and credit issues to evade eviction.
Homelessness Prevention
We strive to avoid homelessness, and seek opportunities for emergency financial assistance, temporary shelter, or supportive services for individuals and families at risk of losing their homes. We work hard to help provide options for those in need, ensuring that no one in our community is left without a safe place to live.
Policy Advocacy
OneCommunity Alliance advocates for policies and legislation at the local, state, and national levels that promote affordable housing, tenant rights, and fair housing practices. Our goal is to create a legislative environment that supports equitable access to housing for all low-income families.
Financial Assistance
Supporting downpayments, rent subsidies, and home repairs.
Tenant Support
We offer tenants with support and resources such as legal assistance, mediation services, and education covering their rights and responsibilities. We believe it is important to have a firm understanding of what is expected while buying or renting a home.
Financial Support
Downpayment assistance, rent subsidies, or home repair grants are programs we’re proud to offer for those in need of opportunities to afford safe housing.
Research & Data Analytics
We conduct thorough research and data analysis to deepen our understanding of housing trends, challenges, and disparities within our communities. This informed approach guides our advocacy efforts, allowing us to develop strategies and solutions that address the root causes of housing inequities.
Education and Collaboration
OneCommunity Alliance believes in the importance of well-rounded education. We strive to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed housing decisions. With that, we are dedicated to fostering partnerships among housing nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, and community stakeholders that aid in effectively tackling housing challenges together as a team.
At OneCommunity Alliance, and as one community, we are committed to building a stronger, more diverse community through our key initiatives. Together, we believe in building a future where every member of our community can succeed.
